KOI Resort & Residence Da Nang Check-in Time, Deposit and House Rules

Check-in at KOI Resort & Residence Da Nang starts at 15:00 and check-out is by 12:00 noon; whoever checks in has to be 18 or older and show a passport, and the booking page lists a refundable 1,000,000 VND deposit at the desk. The rules that catch people out are the child fees, the compulsory gala dinners on 24 and 31 December and the need to book the free airport shuttle a day ahead.

Three rules worth reading before you arrive

At the desk · 1,000,000 VND · Passport

Deposit and passport at check-in

Expect two things at the desk even when your stay is paid. The booking page lists a 1,000,000 VND deposit, taken in cash or on a card and returned at check-out; ask the hotel to confirm the amount. Hotels in Vietnam must also register foreign guests with the local authorities, so reception records the passport details of everyone staying in the room.

Plan for it if you arrive with little Vietnamese cash: the deposit can go on a card. Keep passports to hand if you travel as a family or group, since each guest’s details are needed.

Children and extra beds

The age bands decide the bill. Under-fives stay free in the existing beds. Children aged 5 to 11 also use the existing beds but carry a surcharge of around 500,000 VND for each night (October 2026). From 12, an extra bed is compulsory, at around 1,000,000 VND for each night including breakfast (October 2026). Listings quote slightly different figures, so confirm when you book. Rooms take two adults and two children; extra beds and cots depend on availability.

Do the maths if you have two children over 12: an apartment with a second bedroom may suit better than a room with an extra bed. Ask first if you need a cot; listings disagree on whether one is provided.

Getting around · Free shuttles · Private cars

Shuttles and private cars

The free airport shuttle runs on fixed times only and must be booked at least a day ahead; a driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign. A free city shuttle leaves at 09:00 for the Cham Museum car park and returns at 15:00, booked at least four hours ahead and first come, first served. There is no free shuttle to Hoi An. The hotel’s private cars cost 450,000 VND one way to the airport and 650,000 VND one way to Hoi An in a four-seater, with a 100,000 VND supplement between 22:00 and 05:00 and 30% more on public holidays (January 2026 price list).

Use the shuttle if your flight fits the timetable. Book a car if you land late or travel with a lot of luggage; seven- and sixteen-seat vans cost more.

How to arrive at KOI Resort Da Nang without surprises

01

Put requests in the booking

Use the special-requests box for the sea side of the building, a high or low floor, a cot or an extra bed. These are on request, not guaranteed, so keep them short and clear.

02

Message the hotel before you fly

The shuttle needs a day’s notice, so message the hotel at least a day before arrival to book it, ask about early check-in and get a cot or extra bed confirmed. Groups of more than five rooms should check terms before paying.

03

Have three things in hand

Passports for every guest, a card or cash for the deposit and your booking confirmation. Arriving before 15:00? The lobby lounge opens at 09:00 and serves a welcome lemongrass tea.

Honest note

The rules for this new resort are not yet the same on every channel. One listing gives a 14:00 check-in, one booking page says there is no airport transfer, and child and extra-bed fees differ from one site to the next. Guests also find the check-in and check-out times firmly applied and the desk slow when many arrive at once. Treat the figures here as a guide and get the details that matter to you confirmed in writing.

More questions about rules at KOI Resort Da Nang

Can I check in early or check out late at KOI Resort Da Nang?

Early check-in and late check-out are on request — ask the hotel when you book, and expect an answer only on the day, depending on how full the resort is. A fee may apply. Guests report that the 15:00 and 12:00 times are applied firmly, so if you land in the morning, plan time at the beach or pool rather than counting on an early room.

What is the minimum age to check in at KOI Resort Da Nang?

The guest who checks in must be at least 18, according to booking-page policies. Younger travellers can stay in a room booked and checked in by an adult. If a group of 16- or 17-year-olds plans to stay without an adult, ask the hotel before booking rather than risk being turned away at the desk.

How much is an extra bed for a teenager at KOI Resort Da Nang?

Around 1,000,000 VND for each night, breakfast included (October 2026), and it is compulsory once a child turns 12; one listing quotes 920,000 VND, so confirm the figure when you book. Extra beds depend on availability and room type. With two teenagers, compare the cost of two extra beds with an apartment that has a second bedroom.

Can I get a baby cot at KOI Resort Da Nang?

A cot is on request — ask the hotel when you book. Listings disagree: one says cots are not provided, another says it depends on the room type. Add the request to your booking, then message the hotel a few days before arrival and ask for a written yes. If no cot is available, a child under five can share the existing bed free of charge.

How do I book the free airport shuttle at KOI Resort Da Nang?

Call or message the shuttle hotline on +84 901 917 919 at least one day before you land, with your flight number and arrival time. Shuttles leave the airport at 08:00, 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00 and 18:00, and the resort at 07:00, 09:00, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00 and 17:00. The driver waits in the arrivals hall holding a name sign.

What if my flight lands outside the KOI Resort Da Nang shuttle times?

Book one of the hotel’s private cars or take a Grab or taxi. The hotel charges 450,000 VND one way in a four-seater, 550,000 VND in a seven-seater and 750,000 VND in a sixteen-seat van, plus a supplement between 22:00 and 05:00 (January 2026 price list). The ride is about 12 km and usually takes 20–25 minutes.

What is the cancellation policy at KOI Resort Da Nang?

It depends on the rate you choose, not on the hotel as a whole. On Trip.com, each rate shows its own deadline for free cancellation, or states that it is non-refundable, right beside the price. Read it before you pay, and take a screenshot of the terms. Bookings of more than five rooms may follow different terms.

Is there a free shuttle from KOI Resort Da Nang to Hoi An?

No. The free shuttles go only to the airport and to central Da Nang. For Hoi An Ancient Town, about 18 km away, the hotel’s private car costs 650,000 VND one way in a four-seater, or 1,400,000 VND for seven hours with the car waiting (January 2026 price list). Grab and taxis are the other options.
