Each facility, and what it is really like

06:00–22:00 · free for guests

Main infinity pool by the beach

The largest pool sits between the KOI River and the sand, with its edge looking straight out to sea and a swim-up bar under the Umi Beach Bar deck. Non-guests can buy a day pass here (VND 250,000 per adult, 180,000 for ages 6–11, under-6s free, 07:00–17:00, October 2026), so daytime crowds include visitors as well as residents.

Swim here if you want the sea view and a drink without leaving the water. Skip it at midday if you want a lounger: come before 09:00 or after 17:00, when day-pass visitors have gone.

Long indoor pool under a slatted wooden ceiling, with floor-to-ceiling windows looking over the sea

Level 2 · 06:00–22:00

Indoor and outdoor pools on level 2

Up in the main building, an indoor pool behind full-height glass sits alongside an outdoor pool, on the same floor as the spa and gym. The indoor one is the fallback on windy or rainy days, which matters from October to December. Whether the water is heated is not published; ask the hotel when you book.

Use these if you want laps or shelter from the weather. Skip them if the beach view is the whole point of your swim.

Umi Beach Bar

The canopied deck beside the infinity pool serves pizza, burgers, seafood and cocktails from late morning until 23:00. It is the easiest place for lunch by the water, since Zen Fusion only opens at 14:00. Later on, Manta Club in the basement takes over with live music until 01:00.

Go if you want a sunset drink above the beach. Look elsewhere if you want a quiet sit-down dinner; Zen Fusion by the river suits that better.

600 seats · breakfast 06:30–10:00

Aqua Vista

The main restaurant on the ground floor hosts the breakfast buffet, then switches to an all-day menu from 10:30 until 22:00. With 600 seats it can absorb a full house, though guests do report queues at the busiest stations when group tours are in. Whether breakfast is in your price depends on the rate you choose, so check the inclusions line.

Eat early if you want a quiet table, ideally before 08:00. Ask about other options if you need halal food; the choice at breakfast has been reported as limited.

KOI Spa & Wellness

The spa has 50 treatment beds, a Himalayan salt sauna, a jacuzzi and a steam room. Treatments are charged; the hotel has been running half-price and happy-hour offers, booked on extension 500. Some booking pages add “Inclusive Spa access” to the hotel’s name without saying what it covers, so do not assume treatments are part of your rate.

Book a slot if rain or wind keeps you off the beach. Read your rate’s inclusions first if you expected free spa use from the listing name.

KOI River

The “river” is an artificial waterway that winds through the gardens and villa rows and feeds into the infinity pool. The hotel says it holds more than 1,000 koi; guests feed the fish and paddle kayaks or stand-up boards along it. When a room listing says “river view”, this is the water it means.

Paddle here if you have children or the sea is too rough. Do not expect a natural river; it is a landscaped feature inside the resort.

Gym with treadmills, cross-trainers and weight machines on a wooden floor, glass walls facing the sea

Level 2 · gym 06:00–21:00

Gym and yoga

The gym faces the sea through a curved glass wall and has treadmills, cross-trainers, bikes and weight stations. Free yoga runs on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 17:30 to 18:30 for staying guests; reserve a mat 24 hours ahead. Tennis is not among the facilities the hotel lists.

Train here if you like an early session with a view; it opens at 06:00. Plan around it if you work out late, as it closes at 21:00.

Getting more from the facilities

01

Time the pool around day passes

Day-pass visitors are only admitted 07:00–17:00, while the pools open 06:00–22:00. The first hour and the evenings are when loungers are easiest to find.

02

Book the 24-hour activities on day one

Yoga and the morning cooking class both need a day’s notice. Reserve them at check-in so they fit your stay rather than your last morning.

03

Note dietary needs on the booking

Vegetarian dishes appear at breakfast, but halal and other specific diets are on request — ask the hotel when you book and repeat it at check-in.

Honest note

On full weekends the infinity pool and the breakfast buffet are the pressure points: guests mention too few loungers and waits at the buffet, and the day pass adds outside visitors. Food and drink by the pool is also priced above town.

Questions about the pools and facilities

Is the indoor pool at KOI Resort Da Nang heated?

The hotel does not say, so treat heating as unconfirmed and ask when you book. What is published is that the indoor pool is on level 2 behind floor-to-ceiling glass and keeps the same 06:00–22:00 hours as the other pools, which makes it the sheltered option in the windy months from October to December.

What does the pool day pass include, and does it make the pool busy?

The pass covers the infinity pool, 30 minutes of kayaking, a portion of fries and a soft drink, for VND 250,000 per adult and 180,000 for children aged 6–11 (October 2026). It is valid 07:00–17:00, so the busiest pool hours are the middle of the day; staying guests have the early morning and the evening to themselves.

What does “Inclusive Spa access” in some listing names mean?

Nobody defines it, so do not count on free spa use. A few booking sites attach the phrase to the hotel’s name, but none explains what it covers, and the hotel itself lists KOI Spa treatments as paid. Check the inclusions printed beside your chosen rate; if spa access is not written there, it is not part of the price.

What does the KOI Spa have besides treatment rooms?

Alongside its 50 treatment beds, the spa on level 2 has a Himalayan salt sauna, a jacuzzi and a steam room. It opens 09:00–22:00 and takes bookings on extension 500. The hotel has been running discounts, including a happy hour, so ask what is on during your stay.

Where can I get lunch at KOI Resort Da Nang?

Aqua Vista’s all-day menu from 10:30 or Umi Beach Bar from 10:00 are the two lunch options. Zen Fusion does not open until 14:00 and Manta Club until 17:00. Umi’s pizzas, burgers and seafood come to the poolside; Aqua Vista is the indoor, air-conditioned choice on a hot day.

What does the kids club do each day?

It runs crafts, lantern-making, Vietnamese folk games and short Vietnamese language lessons in a room on level 1 between 09:00 and 18:00. A beach session for children follows from 16:00 to 17:00. Age limits and any charges are not published, so ask the hotel when you book.

Which water sports can guests try at KOI Resort Da Nang?

Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards on the KOI River are the main ones, with bodyboards, kickboards, a water roller ball and an underwater scooter listed too. On the sand there is beach volleyball, shuttlecock kicking and kite flying, plus basket-boat lessons. Ask at the activity desk which are free and which carry a fee.

Does KOI Resort Da Nang have a tennis court?

No tennis court appears in the hotel’s own facility list or on any booking page we checked. The sports on offer are the gym, yoga, water sports on the KOI River and games on the beach. Two golf courses, Legend Da Nang Golf Resort (formerly BRG Danang Golf Resort) and Montgomerie Links, are about 5 km away by road.
